ABOUT START RIGHT BASKETBALL

Start Right Basketball offers kids a chance to learn and grow, regardless of their future in basketball.

No child enjoys being sidelined or having the game dominated by a few ball hogs. With Start Right Basketball kids have an alternative to the norm.

​

As a father of two girls, I’ve found it disheartening to see many children quitting sports due to overly competitive environments that prioritize winning over skill development, or on the flip side, boring outdated pure fundamentals focus. ​​

 

Using modern evidenced based approaches to basketball (Ecological Dynamics, Constraint Led Approach/CLA, and Differential Learning)  our goal is to build an environment where players have fun while learning to shoot, pass, and dribble, as well as see the game, react to what is happening, and recognize open spaces.
